To create real and powerful synergy by providing meaningful and valuable outcomes to client organizations through a collaborative and experiential learning opportunity for students to work on Internet Communications and Technology projects and gain high-level information technology skills, while concurrently contributing to both the renaissance of and the economic clustering in Old Town Rock Hill, SC.

Up to 50 professionals located in Old Town Rock Hill for 6 months at a time.
Work not Jobs
These web working individuals will be in a small business incubation boot camp for the new services economy – training to be contracted professionals in a flatter, project-driven marketplace.
Retention as Economic Development
Unemployment is bigger than recently laid off individuals. There are also not enough jobs currently in our community to support our recently trained/graduated individuals, either. They will relocate without work.
Self-Employment
Consider doing continuing small project work for a team in Atlanta, doing a collaborative project with a group in Ontario (that you were awarded from a bidding site), and having a couple of small business local clients for whom you serve as kind of a webmaster… all while never leaving your keyman space in Old Town. This is an example of managing a portfolio of professional contracting work in the Internet Marketing and Technology marketplace.
Community
Every community organization (like all organizations) has Internet Communications needs and is looking to spend dollars in investing in the web to see progress and return. Helping these organizations achieve their missions, is helping to further develop our community.
