Educational services will be provided through both credit and continuing education.
Credit
Two courses will be offered as College Work Experience (CWE) in each area – web programming, design, marketing, and project management. Each course will be three credit hours. The courses must be taken sequentially. One course will run in the twelve-week semester of Fall 2011. The next course will run in Spring 2012.
Substitutions:
- The CWE courses for web programming will substitute into both the Associate in Applied Science Computer Programming degree and the Web Programming Certificate.
- The CWE courses for design will substitute into the Digital Design Certificate.
- The CWE courses for marketing will substitute into the Associate in Applied Science General Business degree.
Students interested in the credit option will apply and register through the normal York Technical College credit program processes. These students will also need to work with Ashley Segal, the Work-based Learning Coordinator to register for the classes.
Continuing Education
Continuing education equivalent courses will be offered also. The potential audience for these courses will be information technology, graphic design, and marketing professionals who want to participate in the experience and retool but do not need the credit nor financial aid and do not feel they have time to take the required prerequisites through the usual credit programs.
Two courses for each area – web programming, design, marketing, and project management will be offered.
Students will enroll through the normal continuing education registration process.
